Thanks Kelly. We walk down this street almost daily to get to the Brooks School. Cars speed down Allston Street, and kids will need to walk around this enormous pile into the road. Please remove.

WalkMedford spoke with the Mayor and DPW about this last fall. All city plows were supposed to understand the protocol for clearing street corners. This is really disappointing to see.

The pile is now rock solid. This is a huge danger for the many students (High School, Middle School, and Elementary School) and adults who walk down Allston Street to High street in the morning. I wish the city would not dump snow on sidewalks (near a school).

Called DPW this evening and was told they were aware and would get to it very early on Thursday Morning. Anyone reviewing this issue from DPW should keep in mind that this is not just an issue for the Brooks School community but commuters heading to the bus stops early and also middle school students catching the bus during the 7am time frame

As of 8:35 this morning nothing has happened other than the large trash truck removing the cut through by driving on the snow that is technically part of the grass area between the sidewalk and street that we we dug so people could get onto the sidewalk from the street. Also I see that the Mayor's office assigned this to a Code Enforcement, the only enforcement that should be done is against the plow drivers who left a 20 ft long, 4-5 foot high mound of snow which froze into a rock hard snow pile on a side walk that is used by 100s of kids and adults on a daily basis within 500 ft of a school.

sigh... so much for that nice cutout from allston street to the sidewalk i spent a good chunk of time digging out yesterday.... only to get destroyed in 30 seconds by some truck with giant tires.

i made a horrible situation somewhat better yesterday, but it's now even worse because of a truck...

sigh....

Called DPW again this morning. They are coming to clean up but have decided to wait until the kids are in school. Tried to impress upon them how busy and dangerous this will be for anyone heading to school. TOO many idiot drivers going up/ down Allston all morning .

As a the property owner that this issue directly effects, I want to be sure that it is understood that my previous comment was originally entered at 7am this morning, not 12 minutes ago. At this time, the snow bank has been removed and cleared out
