The City of Newnan Animal Warden will go to this residence today and check on the condition of the animals as well as verify rabies vaccinations are current. We will ask to inspect the living areas of the dogs and make sure they are secure to hold the animals and free of debris that could injure the animals. We will advise the resident of the leash/confinement ordinance the City has and give them a copy of such. After this date if you see any animal off leash, please call 770-254-2355 and report.

As far as the breeding of the dogs. This issue is handled by the Georgia Department of Agriculture as follows: Pet Dealers: Anyone who sells, offers to sell, exchanges or offers for adoption dogs, cats, fish reptiles or other animals customariliy obtained as pets in this State. Dog breeders require a pet dealer’s license if they sell more than one litter in any twelve (12) month period or over 30 adult dogs in a 12 month period. A permit to breed or any citations or fines must go thru this agency. They can be reached at 404-656-3600 to report this issue.
