Due to construction in the proximity, those storm drains must be protected from the infiltration of erosion. This is a best management practice (BMP) as required by the erosion control ordinance. They will be removed at such time that construction is no longer active. The erosion control inspector will check the various locations in the area to ensure proper maintenance of the inlet protection.
I inspected the inlet protection on all of the storm drain inlets along Greencove Court today. There were 2 still in place. One was in front of a lot that has just been completed and the sod was installed. I had it removed. There is a second in front of another lot that is under construction and about to be sodded. Once the lot has been stabilized with sod we will have them remove it.
