Agreed. This business parks cars on the sidewalk and also double-parks on the street, making passage by foot or bike very dangerous. The corner location only increases the danger. If the city is serious about making Somerville a highly walkable, bikeable city, then this might be a place to start.

Certain businesses (Russell's trash company is another) seem to operate beyond the law when it comes to blocking the sidewalk. Where do they get this immunity? Does Somerville value business over the safety of its own citizens and visitors? I asked some employees there about it and they said "it was not their problem" if people had to walk in the street or if busses could not pull over for the bus stop.

Not sure the message was clear enough. Parking situation at this moment.

See most recent photo posted. I'm not sure the problem with the parking was completely understood. Their parking along Medford St is a display in how the parking should also be among Somerville Ave.

Still an issue. If I'd taken the legal route to the bus stop I'd have been diverted into the gutter. Jaywalked from Target instead. :-/ Lesser of two evils: in the middle of the street at least I can see the traffic coming.
