Flooding under bridge

I fully support the idea and will appreciate a solution from any of the agencies who are involved.

I agree that this needs to be fixed as quickly as possible. This area floods very quickly every time there is a heavy rain. This is the main access to our subdivision, which is cut off when it floods.

I absolutely agree, this is a serious problem, reoccuring each time we have heavy rain. It has happened that I was not able to get to work due to overflooding, and obviously there might be even more serious situations, when people needing medical attention are unable to get to a hospital, etc.
Also it affects commuters who come by AMTRAK or SEPTA trains and are unable to get to another side of tracks due to water cascading over the overpass. I really appreciate that you are trying to get this problem addressed. Thank you.

Amtrak has stated that they will be cleaning up the water flow in the area which should eliminate the water flow on to the radway. They have stated this clewanup will be completed by Decmber 9, 2011. Let's see what happens after the next bad rain storm.

This is really out of control. I'm sure someone will pay dearly if this isn't fixed. I'm not just talking about the person who is injured but the company, township, or state that has done nothing to fix it.

This is not just at this intersection. This is the entire strip along Hazelwood Avenue between the two train bridges. Flooding on and around this road is H O R R E N D O U S. After they built (and continue to build, in this market) the housing development at the top of the hill, the flooding has been awful. Every major storm sees small rivers open up down the hill, flooding properties at the bottom (mine) and washing all kinds of trash into people's yards (mine). It's no wonder considering the drainage pipes simply stop on the north side of Hazelwood, dumping all the water right into our yards. Drainage pipes need to be completed from Hazelwood Avenue, under the tracks, and into the Route 30 system. Both the township and AMTRAK/Septa have ignored and refused to do anything about this problem for years now, and our properties and lives continue to suffer because of it.

So... I guess.... oh well? Is the joke on us for thinking any of this will ever help to get anything fixed?

Nothing done in 2 years. Same flooding same potholes. Still wondering where the tax $$ go?
