Is the Stormwater Department still responsible for mowing and/or spraying Cattails in Lake Maggiore Shores? See, the north and south 28th Ave. S. stormwater drainages are really out of control... The County used to spray-off cattails. And the last time they did was around last Thanksgiving but have not done so this year yet. We were told that St. Petersburg City gave its budget and air-boat to Pinellas County to do this task, and we pay continue to city and county taxes to get this service but it is not being done in a timely manner.

Why is Columbus Day not listed as an observed federal holiday under the City of St. Peterburg Sanitation Department's trash/collection holiday schedule?

Storm Drain Clogged and severe street flooding at 1700 28th Ave S, caused by the 1-1/2' drainage south-end inlet onto the lake itself. Access thru 1700 28th Ave S. open back yard. Need to remove heavy trash and debri on lake drainage outlet to unclog, similar to the excellent cleanup on south of 1710 28th ave S, 2-ft drain done in May, that the flood-crew accessed from 1726 28th Ave S.

PLEASE HELP US SAVE WILDLIFE! Runaway Trash is killing wildlife and is ideal for incubating/nesting/feeding grounds for mosquitoes.... This issue is reported twice a year. The City points to the County and vice versa. Then someone comes on a air-boat to look and nothing happens. In the meantime we keep paying riparian taxes to the City of St. Petersburg and Pinellas County. Please helps us identify who is getting our taxes and not using them to clean storm runoffs to the lake.

Is the Pinellas County OR/AND the City St. Petersburg’s Parks Department responsible for spraying/killing-off Cattails at Lake Maggiore??? Because Cattails are reproducing and growing and spreading out of control and killing off the north shore of the lake and becoming breeding grounds for Zika Mosquitoes, Midge Flies, and Cattail Weeds are getting out of control due trash being accumulated on the north side of the lake's shore and killing wildlife. Let’s take pride and claim back our Beautiful Lake!

This issue is a share City-County (clean-up) responsibility. Both storm-drains runoffs at 1700 and 1710 are clogged and overflowing and carrying lots of trash which due the obstruction by cattails is creating massive havens for zika mosquitoes and killing Lake Maggiore wildlife

Unauthorized power-motorized boats and fishing over the weekends docking off the Lake's public dock. I have called St. Parks and Recreation and Marine Park Police and they claimed they have no authority to stop the harming and killing of wildlife happening in the hands of speed boats when illegally fishing at Maggiore Lake. This issue should be shared with Boyd Hill Nature Preserve.
