Description
the Bayview Ave roadway south of Rosedale Valley Rd. to River St. has no safe allowance for a bicycle or pedestrian.
If the curved section beside the Necropolis were narrowed to 1 lane north and south, there would be a bicycle route from north Toronto to downtown.
There is the Lower Don recreational route along the river, but is has limited access. (railway between the river and Bayview Ave)
Many roads in Toronto have been reduced from 2 to 1 lane for months and years for constuction.
In this limited area, on the curve, it would create a huge benefit to complete a route (bicycle and on foot) north to south, improve saftey and have a small effect on traffic flow.
North of the Rosedale Valley, there is a a wide shoulder all the way to Moore Ave.
There is a paved pathway along the Rosedale Valley road, but it does not allow anyone to continue along the section of Bayview north or south.
This is a short missing link.
